Our mission

Abandoned Pets is an association in Braga, founded on May 8 2013 and was created by a group of people who were already involved in animal aid. Our objective is to respond to the need to institutionalize the activity of protecting companion animals and help as many animals as possible to be collected, rehabilitated and receive all nutritional and health care until they find a permanent home!

As we do not have a physical space, the animals stay in temporary foster families (FAT) or at the dog hotel , Canisa, while they wait for an adopter.

Together with Braga City Council, a CED (Capture/Sterilize/Return) protocol was signed. This program allows the association to control the growth of some cat colonies identified in the city of Braga.
